AOC Takes Early Lead in New Hampshire But is She Ready For Primetime?

National (TNVC News)– In a just published poll, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez has taken an early lead in the Democrat Presidential Primaries out distancing her more established challengers. Noticeably absent from the polling is former Vice President Kamala Harris. But is AOC, the leader of the Democrat Socialist of America ready for primetime.

All of our greatest presidents had one thing in common. They were deal makers.

Thomas Jefferson bought half a continent with the Louisiana Purchase.

Teddy Roosevelt muscled through the Panama Canal and locked up the great national parks so the rest of us could still see a tree that wasn’t growing out of a sidewalk crack.

Ronald Reagan starred down an empire with a missile-defense program they called Star Wars and helped finish the Cold War without firing a shot.

Even Donald Trump has cut more consequential deals in a few years than most presidents manage in two terms.

Then we come to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

A former bartender who got elected because she was photogenic, fluent in Instagram, and ran against a sleepy incumbent in a deep-blue district. Her biggest problem isn’t that she isn’t smart. It’s that she isn’t real smart when the stakes involve actual negotiation.

A member of Congress has the power of the purse and the ability to write law. That’s more authority than most mayors will ever see. Yet when Amazon came to New York offering tens of thousands of high-paying jobs—somewhere in the neighborhood of 25,000 to 40,000, with billions in economic activity—she didn’t try to improve the deal. She helped kill it. Celebrated the cancellation. And walked away with nothing to show for the people she claims to represent.

She remains the most visible sidekick of Bernie Sanders and a reliable cheerleader for the DSA slate. In New York that has meant campaigning alongside the new wave of socialist candidates who just cleaned house in recent primaries. The same ideological circle that treats every compromise as betrayal and every private-sector job offer as a moral crisis.

And now, according to the latest University of New Hampshire poll, she sits at the front of the 2028 Democratic primary field in the first-in-the-nation state. Twenty-two percent. Ahead of Pete Buttigieg. Dear Lord.

She couldn’t make a deal to give kids cavities if she owned Hershey’s.
