One of the most puzzling realities in modern politics remains the steadfast loyalty of so many Black voters to the Democrat Party — a party whose flagship policies directly undermine the well-being, future, and hard-earned legacy of Black Americans.
Consider the “Big Three” planks that form the cultural stool of today’s Democrat agenda: unrestricted abortion, expansive birthright citizenship fueling birth tourism and chain migration, and fierce resistance to real education reform in failing inner-city schools. Each one strikes at the core of Black families, communities, and the constitutional victories won through Republican courage after the Civil War.

First, abortion — the leading cause of death in the Black community. Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, was a eugenicist who viewed certain populations, including Black Americans, through a lens of population control. Her “Negro Project” aimed to limit births among those she deemed less desirable. Today, the results speak volumes: Black women, comprising about 13-14% of the female population, account for roughly 38-42% of abortions nationwide. Since Roe v. Wade, estimates place the loss of over 20 million Black babies — a demographic devastation far exceeding any other group. Yet Democrats champion Planned Parenthood, fight defunding efforts, and celebrate record abortion numbers as “healthcare.” How does a community vote for more of what is quietly erasing its next generation?
Second, the 14th Amendment — a Republican triumph ratified in 1868 to grant full citizenship to the children of freed slaves after Democrats fought bitterly to deny it. This precious right, sealed in the blood of the Civil War and Reconstruction, was meant to secure equality and dignity for Black Americans under the law. Today, Democrats defend the very clause they once opposed, not to honor its original intent, but to enable birth tourism. Wealthy foreigners pay $50,000 to $100,000 for luxury “maternity hotels” so their children gain instant U.S. citizenship, passports, and future sponsorship power for entire families. This cheapens the sacred birthright earned through unimaginable struggle, burdens taxpayers with hospital costs, and opens doors for those with no allegiance to our Constitution or Judeo-Christian values. Black Americans should feel this as a profound insult — their ancestors’ hard-won citizenship reduced to a purchasable loophole for global elites and future Democrat voters.

Third, education — the great equalizer and ladder to opportunity. Inner-city public schools, dominated by Democrat policies and teachers’ unions, trap generations of Black children in failure. Chronic low literacy, high dropout rates, and violence plague these systems while Democrats block school choice, charter expansion, and parental empowerment. White Southern resistance to integration in the past has given way to modern resistance against vouchers and competition that would actually help Black families escape failing schools. Polls show strong Black support for school choice — often higher than among white Democrats — yet party loyalty keeps resources flowing to broken monopolies instead of children.
If someone had told earlier generations of Black Americans that their descendants would overwhelmingly support a party pushing more abortions, more foreign birth tourism that dilutes their constitutional legacy, and more resistance to liberating children from failing schools, the response would rightly have been disbelief. These policies do not build strong families, secure communities, or a thriving future rooted in faith, work, and self-reliance.

America remains the world’s last best hope precisely because we are a nation of laws, opportunity, and God-given rights for all who embrace her. True constitutionalists — Republicans who ended slavery, passed the 14th Amendment, and continue fighting for life, secure borders, and school choice — offer a better path. President Trump’s leadership has advanced Pro-Life victories, targeted birth tourism abuses, and promoted education freedom.
Black Americans, like all patriots, deserve policies that honor life from conception, protect the meaning of citizenship, and empower every child to rise. The paradox persists only as long as loyalty overrides outcomes. It is time to question the stool — and choose the planks that truly strengthen families, communities, and our exceptional Republic.
