LAS VEGAS – While local liberals and the mainstream media push their usual narrative of division and anti-American hand-wringing, the brave men and women of our Iranian-American community made one thing crystal clear this weekend: the Iranian people are overjoyed and ready for liberty after 47 years of brutal theocratic oppression.

On Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Desert Breeze Park, dozens of proud Iranian-Americans gathered for a powerful car rally they proudly called the “Drive for Freedom.” With engines revving and hearts united, these families – many of whom fled the Islamic Republic’s tyranny – honked horns, waved flags, and stood as the voice for their brothers and sisters still suffering inside Iran.
Pardis Kelly, a passionate participant, put it plainly: “Iranians have been held hostage for 47 years by the Iranian government. I want people to see the support the Iranian Diaspora has for the Iranians in Iran.” She added with clarity and courage, “I want America to know that not all Iranians are against this war.”

Bahador Morady echoed the sentiment, reminding us why such rallies matter: “It is very important, unfortunately, we don’t have any media, so today we are here to be the voice of the Iranian people.”
This wasn’t a protest of despair – it was a celebration of hope. As tensions rise and the mullahs’ grip weakens under strong American leadership that refuses to appease terrorists, these patriots see a genuine path toward a free, democratic Iran that no longer exports jihad, funds Hamas and Hezbollah, or threatens our allies like Israel.
For too long, the radical regime in Tehran has silenced its own people while the left in America downplays the regime’s evil or blames the West. But here in pro-America, faith-based Las Vegas, we witnessed the truth: the Iranian diaspora stands with freedom, with strength, and with the God-given right of every human being to live without the boot of tyranny on their neck.
This rally reflects the very best of our traditional American values – love of liberty, support for the oppressed, and unapologetic opposition to radical Islamism. It reminds us that real change comes not from endless negotiations with evil, but from moral clarity, strong borders, and a Commander-in-Chief who puts American interests and human freedom first.
To our Iranian-American neighbors: Thank you for showing up, speaking out, and standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the cause of freedom. Your courage inspires us all.
