LAS VEGAS (TNVC News)- While most Nevadans went about their day supporting our military and praying for a secure future, a tiny group of about 20 anti-war activists gathered Wednesday afternoon just outside Nellis Air Force Base near Las Vegas. Organized by the radical left-wing group CodePink, the demonstrators chanted and waved opposition to U.S. actions against Iran, calling for an immediate end to involvement and accusing America of “imperialism” and supporting our ally Israel.

CodePink organizer Karen Pettit claimed she showed up “because I do care about military families” and insisted “our country should be involved with Iran” – a curious stance that ignores the regime’s decades of sponsoring terrorism, attacking U.S. forces, and threatening global energy supplies. UNLV history professor Michael Green speculated about the risk of “World War Three,” drawing shaky comparisons to World War I, while a self-described military veteran urged service members to question orders and exercise “agency” against policies they disagree with.
These voices represent a familiar fringe that has never met a threat to America it didn’t want to appease. They conveniently overlook the real madness in the Middle East: Iran’s nuclear ambitions, its missile barrages, its funding of Hamas and Hezbollah, and its direct attacks that endangered American lives and disrupted the Strait of Hormuz – a vital chokepoint for global oil that affects every family’s gas prices and economic security.

No one wants war. President Trump has made that clear time and again. Yet someone must confront evil and restore deterrence when radical regimes attack our interests, target our ally Israel, and endanger the free flow of energy that powers the world. The Trump administration’s decisive actions – including Operation Epic Fury – brought the Iranian regime to its knees, decimating its leadership and forcing it back to the negotiating table. Now, with Vice President JD Vance leading talks in Pakistan this weekend, the focus is on a real ceasefire, reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and a permanent deal that puts America and her allies first.
This tiny rally – dwarfed by the thousands of Nevadans who proudly support our troops at Nellis and across the Silver State – highlights the stark divide. On one side, a handful clinging to outdated anti-American slogans and isolationism that weakens our defenses. On the other, the clear-eyed majority who understand that weakness invites aggression, while strength brings peace. Our military families, veterans, and faith-based communities know the cost of freedom. They stand with the brave airmen, sailors, soldiers, and special operators who protect us – the same heroes whose innovation and courage recently rescued a downed airman from Iranian territory.

America does not seek endless conflict, but we will never apologize for defending our sovereignty, our constitutional republic, and the biblical principle of standing against evil. Pro-family, pro-life, pro-America conservatives recognize that true peace flows from moral clarity, secure borders, a strong military, and leaders who put God and country above globalist fantasies.
As Vice President Vance works toward a just resolution, we pray for wisdom, protection for our service members, and victory for the forces of freedom. The United States remains the world’s last best hope – not because we chase every fight, but because when we must act, we act with unmatched courage, ingenuity, and resolve.
God bless our troops at Nellis and around the globe, God bless President Trump and his team securing real peace through strength, and God bless the United States of America – still the shining city on a hill.
